THERE’S MORE TO A WEDDING THAN THE WEDDING.

Hey, I´m Bruno

I photograph people, places and whatever happens in between. Destination wedding photographer based in Porto, Portugal.

I travel a lot. I get too close. I stay too late.

Weddings are just one of the places where life happens.

I´m not looking for perfection. I’m looking for something real enough to make you feel.

See the rest of my world → 1008

I shoot for the people and the soul of it all.

LESS EXPECTATION. MORE PRESENCE.

Joshua Tree elopement and intimate wedding photography

Black and white view of a desert road and distant rock formations, with a hand raised in the foreground.

I photograph elopements, micro weddings and intimate celebrations in Joshua Tree and the surrounding desert.

Some couples want a ceremony for two. Others bring a handful of friends, their parents or the dog. The size of the wedding doesn’t change how I photograph it.

I like getting to know the people in front of my camera. Being there without getting in the way. Paying attention to what happens when nobody is thinking about photographs.

That’s usually where the good stuff is.

JOSHUA TREE. THE LONG WAY AROUND.

Joshua Tree National Park, Yucca Valley, Twentynine Palms, Pioneertown. Palm Springs, a little further down the road.

Miles of open desert, empty roads and unexpected places. Whether you’re eloping in Joshua Tree or bringing a few people along for a small wedding, there’s something about being out here that makes you forget the rest of the world.

JUST BRUNO. AND A CAMERA.

I’ve never been very good at being a stranger with a camera.

I’d rather get to know you. Hang out with your friends. Have a laugh, maybe a drink or two. Be part of the day without making it about photographs.

Because I believe the connection comes first. The photographs follow.

That’s how I approach elopements and intimate weddings in Joshua Tree. No performance, no pretending. Just people being themselves, and me being Bruno.

PHOTOGRAPHY & FILM

Photography is where it all begins for me. Film is available too, if you’d like to remember some of it in motion.

AND WHO DOESN´T LOVE A GOOD PARTY?

Testimonials

"If we can walk together, why can't we rock together?" the best quote to describe the work of this amazing and over the edge team.

More than just photographers — they’ve become part of our lives.

Thank you, Bruno, for the unique, genuine work you and your team created, and for your friendship.

"Bruno is an amazing photographer. He’s friendly and professional. When I searched for wedding photos at The Yeatman Hotel, his work stood out - it was unique and full of story. We loved it. He has a great talent for capturing true emotions. It was wonderful to create memories in Porto. Just one week later, we received the photos, and they touched our hearts. Highly recommend him!”

FAQ

Do you photograph both elopements and micro weddings?

Reach out through the contact form or email with your project details, preferred dates, and location. Once availability and pricing are confirmed, the booking is secured through a signed agreement and deposit payment. From there, we’ll plan everything needed before the session or event.

Can you photograph larger weddings?

Yes. This page focuses on elopements and intimate weddings, but The Storytellers also photographs larger celebrations. Here’s the full range of wedding photography services.

Is wedding film available?

Yes. Film is available separately from photography, depending on the date and what the day needs. Tell me what you have in mind and I’ll confirm what’s possible.

How do you deliver the images?

Final images are delivered through a private online gallery where you’ll be able to view, download, share, and select your favorite images easily. The gallery includes high-resolution files for printing as well as web-sized versions for social media and online use. If you’d like to print any portraits in a larger format, prints can also be ordered directly through the gallery store. Different sizes and print options are available directly inside the gallery during the ordering process.

Do you photograph elopements in Palm Springs?

Yes. Joshua Tree is my main focus in California, but Palm Springs and the surrounding desert can be covered too.

Are you based in California?

No. I’m based in Porto, Portugal, and I work in California seasonally, so it’s worth writing early to check dates.

Do you offer Joshua Tree elopement photography packages?

Every wedding is different, so I keep things flexible. Whether you’re eloping just the two of you or bringing a few friends, we’ll find the right coverage for your day. Tell me what you have in mind.

Do we need a permit to get married in Joshua Tree National Park?

Yes. Wedding ceremonies inside Joshua Tree National Park require a special use permit. Couples are responsible for arranging their ceremony permits directly with the National Park Service. Photography and filming may have separate requirements, so it’s worth checking the current park rules. I don’t handle permits or wedding planning.
